MLCDC Becomes La Fuente Business Center after Rebranding

Midlands Latino Community Development Corporation (MLCDC) has served the Latino immigrant community for more than 16 years and recently culminated a year-long rebranding process with a new organizational name: La Fuente Business Center.

Our new name and brand reflect our position as a central source of knowledge and support for entrepreneurs. Our brand palette utilizes colors that speak to the trust we have developed with our clients, our responsibility to our community, and the optimism we have. Although our name and logo have changed, all day-to-day operations will stay the same.

Like the white fountain at the center of our logo, we hope to be a place of hope and support where entrepreneurs can grow into their independence and success. The fountain is placed in a blue archway which represents the trust, responsibility, and the deep impact that results with the success of each client. The logo is encapsulated within an orange arch that illustrates our wraparound support that is provided in an encouraging and welcoming environment. The sprays of water coming from the fountain are in three colors. Teal reflects the reliable guidance we provide that helps clients find clarity. Yellow represents the confidence and wisdom entrepreneurs build from our support. Green conveys growth and security for our clients as well as our community.

“We want everyone to know we are still here; we just have a new name,” Executive Director Juan Montoya said. “The name 'La Fuente Business Center' more accurately reflects what our organization does and the services we provide to our community. Our focus has always been and will continue to be the same—to prepare entrepreneurs, especially immigrant entrepreneurs, for success through training, education, and access to capital."

La Fuente Business Center's future goals are to increase the number of immigrant-owned small businesses it serves through its financial stability, entrepreneurship, and lending programs. “One of the main problems for new small businesses is lack of access to capital, and La Fuente Business Center is here to provide capital and technical assistance. We are with them on their journey. Our team helps prepare them for entrepreneurial success so they can achieve their long-term financial and business objectives,” Montoya said.

La Fuente Business Center is located at 2401 N Street in Omaha. Our office is open Monday-Friday from 10 AM until 5 PM and Saturdays from 9 AM until 1 PM.

Our focus has always been and will continue to be the same—to provide opportunities for economic growth to our immigrant community.
